Hi everyone.
I have a strange situation while playing Turkish Checkers.
I like Turkish checkers, but playing this game with somebody we came to a strange situation:My opponent and me had possibility to move right or left endlessly. I mean if I don't want to put my self under jump, I can just endlessly move a figure right and left on the back row of my field. My opponent can do that too, and none of us is goona give a soldier, than the game has no end, and no winner. I hope you understand what I mean.Actually I faced the same situation when playing with computer too. Computer and me could endlessly move our soldiers right and left without any danger. But this makes game not so interesting than if there can't be a winner. Could anyone please explain me more detailed rules on that issue.
Tanx a lot!

This situation comes up in Chess as well. Chess solves it with the 50-move rule, which is that if each player makes 50 moves without a pawn move or capture, the game is draw.

In Turkish checkers the equivalent would be 50 moves without a forward move or capture.

Note that Zillions does not implement the 50-move rule in Chess.

So looks, after all i am write if thinking that that is kind of unusual situation, cause as you know in Russian checkers for instance such situation wouldn't be possible, as well as in Italian, Spanish, American and couple other types of checkers too.
As I understand there is no clear rules statement regarding this issue, right? I was just hopping that there is some clear point about that, cause aside that situation, Turkish Checkers are a wonderful game.
