This is a good idea! When you think you have an invinsible mate-attack then the very mating check allows the opponent to remove a piece that discloses a defending piece so that the mating piece is captured in the next move. I am getting more and more impressed by the endless plethora of chess variants. I think I will invent one of my own one of these days. A game-inventor with a self-esteem should have invented a chess-variant. Mats |
