On invitation by Professor Althoefer from the University of Jena, Germany, I held two 2-hour lectures there at the end of July. The first talk was on mathematical tiling problem in the geometrical plane (covering much of my publications in this area as well as some others like the new solution of the 'Squaring The Plane' problem, solved by Henle and Henle.) Some of the problems discussed were connected with (and partially anlyzed with help from) Zillions games (such as the game 'Square The Square' etc). The second talk was on those of my Zillions games which are related to mathematics (or concern information science, as does the game 'Turing Machine'). These talks are now both available to you in English and in German. See my main web page (http://karl.kiwi.gen.nz), close to the bottom. |
