I have a chess variant that mixes elements of Desert Chess and Benedict Chess I would like to get up on the board. Secondly, I want to do a checkers/Blue and Gray hybrid and use the base Blue and Gray code modified some. Can someone tell me if this is ok or not, if I credit the designers who did these games? Thanks... - Richard Hutnik |

Feel free to use Benedict Chess, which is mine. Take a look at Conversion Chess as well which came out before Desert Chess and might be more appropriate for credit. |

Thanks Dan. I think we discussed this before. By the way, I have a few other games in the pipe I am working on. If you or anyone else wants to help, please drop me a line. - Richard |

Feel free to use Conversion Chess - Melee and/or Conversion Chess - Kings, which are mine. By publication date and content they are probably more appropriate for credit. The two games include 16 variants that include games on different board sizes, with and without royal pieces, with and without the ability to swap places with friendly pieces, unequal forces, and different victory conditions. Melee came out in April 2001 and Kings came out in June 2001. Desert Chess did not come out until January 2002. It is effectively a single variant of Conversion Chess - Melee. |
