Lets help get QuadWrangle knocked off as the free game in the spotlight and get the award back to a monthly basis. There are many other games out there that deserve recognition. The folks at Zillions are willing to do so. They just need nominees and short explanations. Suggestions can be posted to this discussion or sent to submissions@zillions-of-games.com

Is it finally time for the (2or3 times per year) Spotlight to be replaced by a new Random Pick-of-the-Week feature?
It seems that most of the Spotlight games were showcasing only those top games that had complexity & originalty within their coding. Three years; none of MY submissions made it. :)

Just a thought: Zillions could use my _ByRandom program to make the choices. Out of over a 1000 user created games, even just a top third would provide years of Featured Games.

The lack of new games in the spotlight is why I started to a Noteworthy Games posting section. I had been thinking about starting that up again. I have a draft Noteworthy Game reccomendation I could finish and post. It just happens to be your game Dominion.

I thought the combination of Othello and Blobs was very clever. However, I had delayed finishing the Dominion Noteworthy post while I struggled with getting a grip on the "8x8 distinct: Lower" variant. At first that variant seemed nice and symmetrical but so biased against the first player I thought it should not have been included as a variant. Since my Noteworthy posts are not full game reviews and I deliberately avoid any negative commentary, that made Dominion a marginal Noteworthy candidate. Now that I have played the "8x8 distinct: Lower" variant 3 dozen times it has become my second favorite variant after the "8X8/2 (tri): 'and'" variant.

Congratulations Derek on having the Symmetrical Chess Collection named the Free Game in the Spotlight.
