There are better player files available for free on the net, of course, but the game itself is wonderful. Long live John Nash. |

I love Hex. But I haven't played in a few years. It looks like you haven't posted in Years. If you are still around, or if anyone else is interested, Let me know if you would like to play an online game. SB |

Hello Carolyn, I'm glad to hear you also like Hex! But these days, Zillions is not necessarily the best way to play. Do you know about Kurnik? http://www.kurnik.org/ It's a Polish server, but it's available in English. Most of the players speak some English. Hex is rather popular there, with many strong players. Automated tournaments are held three times each week. Many grid sizes are available, up to 19x19. I would be glad to meet you there, if you like. Another place we could play is Ludoteka: http://www.ludoteka.com/games.html This one is Spanish, but English is available there also. Hex is less popular there. Grid sizes up to 19x19 are available. My handle on both servers is twixter. I hope we can meet to play some time! I am usually available on the evenings during the week and afternoons or evenings during weekends. We could use the Zillions Hex package if you prefer, although I have not played Hex online with Zillions. I have two versions of Zillions on my machine, both 1.3 and 2.0, so we should be able to play that way. I once started to write up my own Hex package for Zillions, but I never posted it. Maybe I should see about knocking that into shape... David |
