Hi,
I want to create a move that shifts a stone at least 2 fields and then additionally drops an offboard stone to the field next to the target position in direction to the starting position.
If there are no more offboard stones abailable it should be possible to choose a stone on the board to be moved next to the target position.

Hi,
I'm assuming that each player has two successive moves in the turn order, a "shift" move followed by a "target" move. If that's true, then I think you can accomplish your goal by using move priorities. Furthermore, you would have two types of target moves "target-drop" (drop from off board) and "target-move" (move existing stone). The "target-drop" move type would be listed first and thus have the higher priority in the move priorities list. That would prevent a "target-move" from occurring if there are off board stones remaining.

You might also want to take a look at "Egyptian Siga" which uses move priorities to force drop moves to occur when they are still available.

Thank you for your answer Greg!
I cannot run Egyption Siga, there are many syntax errors! Maybe you need Zillions 2 to run it?
To my problem: No, it is only one move per side!
Let me tell you the whole rules of that great board game called "Delta":
There are 2 players: white and brown; played on a board 5x5; the board is empty; each player has 9 offboard stones; white moves first, dropping the first stone on any field; then brown drops his first stone on an empty field; white has to move his first stone now (like a rook in chess, but at least 2 fields, it is not possible to capture opponent stones in this game) right behind the moved stone white drops an offboard stone!!!; then brown can either move his stone (and drop one) the same way as white or drop an offboard stone to any empty field (to compensate the advantage of white playing first); from now on white and brown have to move an existing stone and drop an offboard stone behind; the win conditions are 4 in a row (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) or stalemating your opponent; if the game lasts as long as there are no more offboard stones then you move a stone as before (horizontal or vertical at least 2 fields) and you choose any of your stones (on the board) except the one you just moved to put it on the field behind your moved stone.

thank you for your help
Alex

I think you need Zillions 2.0 to run Egyptian Siga (along with many other games).

Thanks for the explanation (also found the game on board game geek) and now that I understand the game a little better, I don't believe that move priorities are needed. I think you will just need to generate both "drops" and "moves" and if there are no off board pieces, then no "drops" will be generated. The hard part seems to be both determining and keeping track of the target position so that the next player knows where to move since Zillions doesn't have variables. I suppose the move generation could also place a dummy piece on the board at the target location. For the other player to generate a move to the target, you would then have to scan the board looking for the dummy piece.

I don't know how helpful that is, sorry if it's not, but that's the only thing that comes to mind right now.

My main problem is to move and drop a stone at one turn. I tried cascade, but I couldn't manage to additionally drop a stone after moving the first stone.
To simplify the problem:
Is it possible to drop an offboard stone to an empty board and automatically drop a second offboard stone to the north field of the first dropped stone?

It seems to me that if you need to have a two part move then use "add-partial". That effectively gives you a chance to make another move while it's still your turn.
