I am making a chess variant and one of its characteristics is that when you move into a enemy piece square, instead of capturing the piece, your piece is captured.
How I create that?

You could check what piece it is and create the same piece and flip it (that is, change colour). This does it:

($1 (if enemy? (if (piece? Rook ) (create Rook) else (if (piece? Bishop ) (create Bishop)))
flip add
else (verify empty?) add)

I tried and it works. Thanks.
But know I found a problem, but with chess variant idea, its unplayble.
My idea was to make a reverse chess variant (reversing chess rules). The game would be unplayable. Then I decided to make a reverse chess but reversing only some of chess rules.
In the end it becomes:
-King and queen swaped positions (inverted horizontaly the board).
-Players swaped positions (inverted vertically the board).
-black start first.
-on the first move pawn can only move one time. After the second move pawn can move 2 times.
-castling is always possible but, only after king and queen moving only.
-You can put your king into check, but not the enemy king one.
-You you move into enemy square your piece get captured.
-You win by putting your king into check.

Right know the enemy anti check rule, and win by check (and not by capture) rule are not into zillions yet. But by testing the game with self capture as win condition I can already see that this would be a easy win for black.

I will need to rethink my variant idea.

Hi Rod,

I have already (years ago) published a Zillions game which plays reverse chess, see "Unplay Chess". It also contains several "unplay" chess problems.
Cheers, Karl Scherer
