I am new to this "programming thing" odvioulsy, and it was recommended by ajledoux on the Game Maker 4.2 forums that I try Zillions to create "my" game. www.swcrusade.com/c3gcs_rules.htm Well I don't want to bore anyone with specific details of the game's plan, but its basically multiplayer chess. (which is why I got sent here) The differences are you can choose the number of, and types of peices to play with (ie: so you could have 12 rooks and 5 queens) as well as where they start on the game "board" Of course its not just that simple, the game is hopefully going to be part of the larger tournament I run. Can I do this with Zillions, and if I can, where can I start? (code? tutorials? etc..) Thank you for your time. |

Hello Andrew, I am currently building a webbased enginge that I think could be used to create your game. Players log in, choose a board and what sets of pieces should be available and what other rules should apply, he then creates his army by choosing what pieces should be placed where and then send off a challange to another player. This player places his pieces and a zrf (zillion file) is created for the players to download. This system could probably be modified to work with your gameidea. It's not ready yet however, it still has a couple of weeks left to the first release. With regards Tomas Forsman |
