As it stands right now, if in Zillions you click on a piece that has more than one legal move, Zillions will show you which moves are legal. Thus, you can click on a piece to see where it can move. However, if the piece has only one legal move, the piece will be moved automatically. Often I click on a piece to see where it can move, only to have that piece move on me. This should probably be corrected, so that clicking on a piece with only one move still shows you what that move is before making you commit to it. Another idea, which would prevent people from abusing this feature, is a "Touchmove" setting, (preferably in the program menus, rather than having to be in the game code) which requires players to move pieces that they click on to see where that piece can move (unless no legal moves are available, of course). This should probably be corrected If you don't like this feature, turn it off: go to the "View - Options..." menu, uncheck "Smart Moves", and click OK. |
