The constant talk of zillions being bad for multple player games, has made me wonder if zillions could be set-up to implement different engines for each players turn. |

I don't know, but remember that Zillions can be set to handle multiple colour pieces with only two players. This is supposed to make play stronger, but I'm not certain of that. The turn-order would be, e.g., (turn-order Yellow Black (Yellow Red) (Black Green) ) In this case there are two players, Yellow and Black. But Yellow also handles the Red pieces, and Black also handles the Green pieces. Yellow can still capture Red, etc. /Mats |

Hi Mats, this is a great idea for a team game. but one of the reasons I was wondering about the plug ins, is because this would make zillions a wonderful host platform for trying out other AI or chess engines agaist each other and give some incentive for other people to get into the game. Who knows it might lead to a hardware device that eachplayer could bring there own screen & board and plug them into a unversal style receptacle and compete against other player while their software engines assit them in competition. |
