An additional File Menu Item: &Open Rules with customizable sub menu choices beneath.
Such as Open "Chess" rules; Open "Othello" rules; Open "Mazes" rules; Open "Chess - Tier2" rules; etc. These selections would open the File Explorer directly into the specific rules folder(s) as the user wants.
Currently one has to select File, then select Open Rules, then search through all rules and sub folders to find a preferred user created game.

Can pointer to rules directory be changed???

For certain reasons I have upgraded my Zillions.exe file in a special directory, then moved it to my usual work directory.
Now the menu option "open rules file"
points to the wrong directory.
Is it possible to change this and if so, how?

Thanks for any help!

In the state it's in now is the Rules directory in the same folder as Zillions.exe?

Yes,
every directory with a Zillions.exe
also has a "Rules" directory,
but the "Rules" directories are very different.

The directory I created the new Zillions version in has only the default rules files from the CD.

Hi Karl. I'd try renaming the special directory, running Zillions from the usual directory, and then quitting Zillions again. When Zillions can't find the Rules directory it remembers, then it may look where you want it to. If this doesn't work, you can go into the registry and delete the key value:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Zillions Development/Zillions of Games/ExePath

Ken, you may already know this, but you don't have to search through all the rules files if it's a recently accessed one. These are automatically added to the File menu (right above Exit). If it's one you use a lot, it will already be there.
