The opening window of "Zillions" consists of 48 default games. I want one extra layer, leading to 72 default games.

The choice of what default games to include should be user-configurable. Let the licenced player decide for himself.

It is user-configurable. Open the file ".../rules/select.zrf" under your Zillions directory and make it behave any way you want. It's just a game file like all the others. If you figure out something good, submit it!

I have opened this file and the main interface pops up. Then what? Im completely stumped, and the game help-file sure isnt that helpfull. Why is editing how many (and what) games should appear on the main interface such a secret?

You need to open this file in an editor, not in Zillions. Check the language reference for details, but it's quite straight-forward how to change it.
