Zillions seems to have a major bug concerning net play. Although the bug doesn't affect net play itself, it messes up the user's internet options after playing online. Just over a week ago, I played an online game for the first time. Shortly after, I couldn't get on the web for days. I thought I was having a problem with my ISP, but it wasn't my ISP. I could still do email and ftp, and I eventually found out that I browse the web with Lynx, even thought Internet Explorer and Netscape weren't working. When I emailed support @ my ISP, they suggested that something had inadvertantly set something it shouldn't have. After some investigation, I found that it http was set for 127.0.0.1 in the proxy server section. After deleting the 127.0.0.1, I could connect to the web again. I then played another game online today. And when I tried to get online this evening, I had the same problem I was having last week. I went into Internet Options, found the 127.0.0.1, and deleted it, then I could get online again. In both games, I joined a session rather than hosting it. I don't know if the same thing will happen if I host and don't join. But I believe that Zillions is setting something it shouldn't set, or at least not leaving my system in the state it found it in. |

Zillions doesn't even use http for net-play. I really don't see how Zillions could cause this and nobody else has ever reported this happening. |
