Has anyone found away to turn a checkmate position into an automatic move pass??

Could you explain that in detail?

Please explain more specifically.

Hi Aepasa,

It has taken about one month in total, two weeks for the graphic production of the pieces and two weeks for the system production.

In ZoG, if the image of the board is too large, the it dose not fit in the window and the part that does not fit is clipped.

I would like ZoG to implement scrolling and zooming system of windows.

Best Regards,

Yes, Wantanabe. I am trying to write a macro that will check at he end of a pieces move if their King is in check, and if it is, it will return the piece back to its original position and force you to find another move. When playing with 3 or four players since you cannot use Checkmate as a forced pass scenario. The Checkmated player ends up with a extra Kamikaze move before their King is captured and their pieces change owner to the capturing players control. This throws off the game dynamics and ends up costing more than it should to conquer a player plus it changes the board position at a point when it when it should not.

Hi, Captain,

I greatly value your attempts about them.

If it is possible to check in advance whether or not the piece move will lead the result in the checkmate before completing the move, we can judge and avoid "Checkmate by a Dropped Pawn" in Shogi easily and surely.

I think ZoG should originally provide those functions as functions-command.

Hello, Wantanabe

I agree with you, they should provide the ability to make checkmate a forced pass situation as a functions command. It would simplify and enable solutions to many of the multi player games attempted to implement in Zillions.

I will look at your Shogi code to get an idea of what you meant, though, I am not trying to avoid checkmate. I am trying to prevent a player from making a move after they are in checkmate.

Thank You,
Tony Britton

Hi, Captain,

The commands (in the move block) that I hope ZoG to provide are 'pass the turn' and 'switch piece set', and 'flip board'.

If 'pass the turn' command can use in the move block:
In the move boock after 'add-partial' or 'move-priorities' command, a player can avoid the stalemate and give the next player the turn.
(It can become to only allow 'pass' the certain turn, but not allow 'pass' the normal turn.)

If 'switch piece set' and 'flip board' command can use at once:
When the player changes in Shogi, the piece images can change to the flipped images at the same time as the board is flipped.
(The problem with flipping the board is that the images of the pieces do not flip.)

If there is 'flip board' command before 'add' command:
In the local match, a player can move the pieces and automatically flip the board after each turn.

Hello, I'm back at it again. Has anyone out there figured out a way to have every move a cascade type move, where the second move is to verify that the players king is not check. I Know you can have Zillions do it for you when using checkmate as the win/loss condition. But not when capturing the opposing players kings is a part of the game, and when a checkmate scenario is a forced pass situation. When I use capturing the kings as part of the rules. I need to ensure that none of the players pieces can move when a checkmate scenario occurs. Thus creating a forced pass situation.

I don't know what you mean, but in my latest game "Marseillais chess" I have to check whether the enemy king is in check before being allowed to make the second move, which is forfeited if the enemy king is in check. (It could also be checked by another piece than the one that just moved.) I do this by adding an acknowledge button, which allows the enemy king to check if it is threatened.

I'm trying to make checkmate be a forced pass in a multi-player game. So each move would be a cascade move with the second move of the cascade verifying the players king is not check, then adding a copy where it is as the move. That way a player could not make a move if it leaves their king in check. It's good to here from you again.
