I find the standard win/lose messages very, very boring. Please allow for the programmers to create their own messages. In general, the Zillions games would be much more lively, personal and responsive if a message could be put out (maybe NOT in an extra text box, but rather as part of the game-screen) after a move. The message would be created by a special message command inside the rules file. This way the player could get warnings, hints, comments, etc. A whole new area of fun would open with this. It makes the games more human and interactive. I wonder why Jeff Mallet did not allow for this in the first place. In computer chess programming this has been standard for as long as I can think of. Thank you for considering it. |
