I would like the ability to annotate games. Zillions is the only program available for playing many Chess variants, and study of various games would be enhanced by being able to study annotated ZSG files with Zillions.

I suggested this back in December 1998. I would like annotations to show up in the moves list, or perhaps in a pop-up window during game play.

I'd also like to be able to type in an annotation during game play, rather than just editing the *.zsg file after the game is over.

And I'd like a way to record variants, where there are several moves which differ from the main line of play.

There are huge annotated libraries of chess games available in a few standard formats; it would be great if they could be easily converted to *.zsg files!

I just discovered one way to annotate saved games.

Edit a *.zsg file. Add a new line following the last line of the file. This line can be as long as you need, but you can only add one.

Now whenever you load that *.zsg file, whatever you typed into that last line will be displayed in a pop-up window.
