I would like to be able to set the thinking time for the computer opponent to an exact amount for games that require long thinking times. Setting it forever and setting another timer for a half an hour is a kind of a pain. A check box that overrides the slider and has a field that you could enter the number of minuets or hours would be nice.

I was also thinking that having a default computer opponent settings for games would be good. This could be included as part of the option command.

A coded default setting (per game / or per variant) wouldn't take into account different processor speeds (today's fastest , tomorrow's latest, and yesterday's relics) or individual player stengths.
related: I once suggested the ability when using a set # of minutes/seconds that every move "wait" until that amount of time has transpired before executing: Minimum Time.

Conversely, if an *.ini file (or some such - similar to hi scores) could be available with zillions to store default program settings by game(s) as set by individual users - that might be best.

I'd like to be able to set multiple different times for the computer, one to use for each player (one for Black and one for White). I feel this would be useful in developing new games with Zillions, as a rough way of testing whether the game has any depth to it: if Zillions thinking 3 minutes has only a slight advantage over Zillions thinking 15 seconds, for example, that would indicate that the game doesn't have a lot of depth.
