In the 19x19 multi-player pair-capture variants of Go-moku-9.zrf, there are so many positions to check that move-generation takes a very! long time to get deep enough to come up with interesting moves, such as white moving to position "x", where white can recapture after black's capture. . . . . . . . . x . . . . . . B . . . B W W . . . . . . . . If I could use "(absolute-config ...)" and "(relative-config ...)" anchored on the current position inside a "(moves ...)" or "(drops ...)", I could easily test for such arrangements of pieces and generate them as moves with a higher priority. Right now, absolute-config and relative-config only work as goals. |
