Howdy. I am currently testing out a new version of my Groups game. In this version it has variants where pieces can jump over other pieces. I find that this rules change actually helps the AI out in some cases, and also makes the game more dynamic.
If you are interested in trying it out, please send me a line. I hope to get it up on here soon.
