The Knots series of games explores a hitherto totally uncharted territory, not only for Zillions, but for any program in the world. If you have your own ideas relating to similar problems in the area of knots, strings, wire-and-string puzzles etc that might be possible to be explored in a similar manner, please write to me at karl@kiwi.gen.nz. Thanks |

Based on feedback, I have now added a new feature to the game "Knots 4" (to be published next Sunday, or get it from http://karl.kiwi.gen.nz): You can set a MAXIMUM of string length if you wish. Also, the current string length is always automatically displayed (after the first click). You lose when your string length exceeds the maximum. However, it is only tested if the maximum is set greater than zero. Setting a maximum is optional. So once you solved a puzzle, you can make it harder for you next time. You can also try to find out what the mimimum string length required is to solve the puzzle. |
