There are several fine implementation of connection games in Zillion's library. However, they are useless since Zillion's engine is lousy on this type of game. It is very sad as these games are very attractive, such as Gonnect which is a popular and sophisticated connection game that incorporates the rules of Go. It was invented by Joao Pedro Neto in 2000 and featured in an article in Issue 6 of Abstract Games Magazine. A connection engine is on the wishlist. |

I agree, a Zillion's connection engine would be useful in opening up a whole new realm of games. Have you given much thought to how a connection engine might work? Do you think that most connection games have enough similiarity such that a generalized engine is feasible for a large class of connection games? |

Perhaps not, but if one has written one then one can write several without much additional work. |
