On Aug 22, 2006 I ordered a copy of Zillions of games online from this site (July 24th I had tried ordering it by mail) Niether copy has arrived. I have tried contacting thier sales department with several emails with no reply. I started searching for other sites with info on how to contact them and ecountered information that suggested the software was no longer being manufactured. I tracked down the Phone number of the company and phoned them only to find that the line has been disconected. In short DO NOT order the software from this site as you will be charged on your credit card and recieve no merchandise!!! |

Hi, I verified that you ordered 3 weeks ago, but you are mistaken about your credit card being charged. Your credit card has NOT been charged. Credit cards are intentionally not charged at order time to ensure that the charge occurs after the CDs are shipped. Our shipping comes from Europe and in the past year I'm afraid the turn-around has been slow, which is why I recommend the download version to everyone I talk to. Also, your regular mail to Virginia currently gets forwarded to Europe as well, so there's extra time there. Neither I nor the webmaster (Ed) can confirm the shipping status. The only one who can do that is Mark Lefler, who should be answering all shipping questions (his email is sales@zillions-of-games.com). I sincerely apologize that you have not received an email answer to your question yet. (I'll give Mark a call to see why.) But please don't spam our message boards, which is unkind because it generates spam emails for a lot of people who want to use the board for the discussions it was intended for. In the mean time, I'm happy to email you an unlock key while you're waiting and give you the option whether you want to cancel the CD orders altogether, which is our normal policy. |

Hi Jeff! What about a new version of Zillions? There is so much on the wishlist. Better time management, so that Zillions doesn't waste equally long time on self-evident moves, and a chess clock, etc. I think there is economy in this. Personally, I am willing to pay the same sum again for a major upgrade, and I think many other Zillions enthusiast are, too. When downloading a major upgrade of Opera, for instance, you are being charged anew, and those who like the product gladly pay. Mats |

I would like to thank Jeff Mallet for being the first person at Zillions of games to respond to my requests for assistance with respect to my missing software. I feel it was unfortunate that it took multiple postings to this discusion board before I got a response. And I apologize to anyone one who feels I acted improperly. It was not my intention to spam your message board, but to alert other people to what I had believed was a potential danger. I have confirmed Jeff's statment that my credit card had not yet been charged (I had made that assumption based on the reciept I had been automatically emailed by thier server and had not yet recieved an account statement from VISA). Jeff has graciously given me a unlock key for the software which I greatly appreaciate. I look forward to playing some Dragon Chess. And hope that I can be a contributing member of this message board in the future. As I have a few ideas for a Wizard Chess game that I would like to try out. |

I second Mats W's post =p. Until then, I would love perhaps even a simple patch, updating Zillions' internal limitations to better suit newer computer systems, such as allowing more types of pieces, more user-defined directions, etc. |

Ditto. Ordered CD on 4/16/07, received Email confirmation (order Zill - 2427; CCP - 20070416232416910). Never a shipment, and never a charge against my credit card. But now with my outstanding order, and delays by Zillions, my credit card expired in the meantime. So if I'm lucky, they'll charge against it finally, then the charge will fail. Then I can do this all over again???!? How difficult is it to manufacture a s/w CD anyway? How difficult to ship it? What's going on?? |

You are far better off just downloading it. Whoever they are using for physical disks is totaly unreliable. |
