It's just some crazy idea which went in my brain.

The object of the game is like in Go to occupy
more territory than the opponent.
The game is played with chess pieces and like
in Go there is no fixed starting configuration.

There are at least two game phases. The starting phase in which the starting configuration is fixed
and the combat phase in which there is the fighting for territory.

Two different rules apply to these two phases.
Pieces move as in chess , however there's no king.
I think eight pieces for each player are sufficient for a 9x9 board.

Only pieces with no liberties can be captured. I compare this to the liberties in Go. One piece has one liberty , two pieces who protect each other have two liberties and so on.

Captured pieces can be brought into play as in
Shogi and thus strengthen the player's army.

The game ends when two player are passing, because
making of new territory is not possible.

I have not researched on that game and so I do not
know if there eyes, false eyes , ko-situations and
so on are possible in this game.

Because of moving pieces the securing of territory seems to be difficult and I think it will not be possible to win without capturing enemy pieces.

Because zillions Go-strength can not be called
a strength and the engine also shows the same
weakness on Hex I conclude that the engine would
play very weak on this game also, which makes it
doubtful , if it is worth implementing it on
zillions.
